Convenience in the kitchen without compromising on quality
Saffron is the world's most expensive spice. For more than forty centuries, Saffron has been used in many cultures: as a medicine, for the care of facial skin and to combat (facial) skin problems, as a coloring agent for (body) decoration and dyeing clothing, and as is known by many also in the kitchen.
Majestic Saffron have been working with all forms of Saffron for 30 years: the Crocussativus tuber, which forms the basis for all Saffron products, Saffron as the most expensive spice in the world, and products made with Saffron as an important component.
Saffron is being rediscovered this century. In addition to the healing effect of Saffron, we see that Saffron is increasingly becoming part of the preparation of dishes in the kitchen. For example, gourmets use Saffron to give their rice, desserts and drinks an irresistible taste, odor and color. At the same time, many of us often have little time to prepare a meal at the end of the day.
In order to fully show Saffron, the spice must often first be prepared according to a formula. And that takes time, which many certainly do not have during the week.
In order to be able to enjoy the magical taste and smell of Saffron, Majestic Saffron has decided to bring Saffron powder of the highest quality to the market, which makes no concessions to the Saffron that we have in our range of Saffron products.
Our Saffron powder is made exclusively from our Saffron, which many of our customers have been satisfactorily ordering from us for years.
It is important that we set strict requirements for our Saffron. Saffron is an expensive spice. But in addition, it is of course of great importance that the Saffron is absolutely safe to consume. All our Saffron products are, without exception, tested by the renowned company Eurofins Scientific (see: https://www.eurofins.com/about-us/eurofins-fact-sheet/). With more than 34,000 employees in more than 400 laboratories in 44 countries, more than 150,000 analytical methods and more than 400 million tests per year, Eurofins is the world market leader in food, environmental and pharmaceutical testing. Our Saffron is tested in 3 different laboratories: two in the Netherlands and one in Sweden. Each laboratory tests Saffron on specific aspects, including undesirable agricultural substances and residues, heavy metals and, in addition, the strength of the most important components of Saffron such as Saffranal, Crocin and Crocetin. (See ao https://eurofinsfoodtesting.nl/en/segment/herbs-spices/) for a description of the components of the tests for herbs and spices.
On our website you can find ideas for the use of Saffron in the preparation of both traditional and new dishes. The recipes that you will find are prepared by enthusiastic amateur chefs and occasionally by professionals. We cordially invite you to tell and show your own experiences on our Facebook page.
As you will no doubt notice, the price level of our products is considerably lower than what you are used to elsewhere. The reason for this is that we want to make Saffron known and affordable among a much wider audience. This soon becomes more feasible when you use our special offers for slightly larger quantities. Once you get used to the very pleasant and specific smell and taste of Saffron, it is nice if you can keep a small supply of Saffron. It is also an idea to place an order with a friend, for example a family member or girlfriend. If you compare our prices with those in the store, it soon becomes clear that a huge advantage can be gained there.
Our Saffron powder is part of our growing Saffron family. In addition to our pure high-quality Saffron, we also have Saffron capsules, Saffron vodka, and Saffron cheese, and soon Saffron tea, Saffron oil, Saffron extract, various products for the wellness sector and now Saffron powder for culinary purposes.
